Ready to create a course? Just follow these steps, and you'll be a course-creator pro in no time.

NOTE: There is NO SAVE BUTTON, the course automatically saves for you!! All of your work will be automatically saved after every keystroke.

Getting to the course builder

Step 1:

First, log into your account.

Step 2:

In the upper right of your profile page, click on the green button "Create Course"

Step 3:

You're then going to type in the name of your course.

General course building

Step 1:

Onto the first page! Type in your page title, and start creating your course content (or just copy and paste your course content from another document).

Step 2:

In the upper right of your page, click the three dots and then select "Shortcuts." This will bring up a menu of example actions to help you build your courses. To learn more about courses, please check out this article.

Step 3:

Once your first page is ready to go, click on the green "+" button at the bottom right. This will open up a list, from which you can add a new page or other feature.

Adding media to your content

Step 1:

To add a photo, video or audio, press "Enter" on your keyboard, and a small "+" sign will appear to the left. Click that, and a bunch of icons will appear.

Step 2:

Choose whether you would like to insert a picture, video link, video, or audio file. Check out these instructions on how to add these media.

Styling your content

Step 1:

To style your text, highlight your text and a small black bar will appear. Click that, and a bunch of icons will appear.

Step 2:

You can bold, underline, italicize, add a link, or change your text into a small or large headline. Check out these tips for formatting your course like a pro.

Editing the flow of your course

Step 1:

Click on the arrow at the bottom left of your screen, which displays all of your pages at once.

Step 2:

Click on the page you wish to change, or drag your pages to change the order of the pages in your course.

Step 3:

To add a survey, click on "SURVEY" from the green "+" sign menu. From there you can start adding your questions. Here are more detailed instructions for adding a survey.

Step 4:

To add a survey, click on "QUIZ" from the green "+" sign menu. From there you can start adding your questions. Here are more detailed instructions for adding a quiz.

Step 5:

To add a test, click on "TEST" from the green "+" sign menu. Then add your questions and answers. Here are more detailed instructions for adding a test.

Step 6:

To delete pages, click on the arrow in the left hand corner by your first page. This will bring up a quick editor for all your courses. Click on the box in the corner of a page, and then click the trash can icon from the top menu bar. We will ask you to confirm that you want to delete that page forever.

Step 7:

To get back to your course, click on the "Collapse" option at the top right.

Determining your course settings

Step 1:

Click on "Settings" at the top of the course builder. This will bring up your main course settings.

Step 2:

Add an image for your course by clicking on the default image to the right.

Step 3:

Fill in all of the necessary course information

  • Title
  • Description
  • Price of course/free course
  • Credits
  • Whether you'd like payment before the course is taken.

Step 4:

Scroll down the page to enter the rest of this information: 

  • Professions
  • Subject Areas
  • Require license or certification number

We HIGHLY recommend filling in these areas, so that students will be able to find your course on our site.

Step 5:

Scroll back to the top, and click on the green arrow to the right. This will take you to your objectives page.

Step 6:

Here you'll type in your course outline and the objectives. Be sure to make your outline and objectives specific! 

Step 7:

Once you're done with that, click on the green arrow to the right to go to the next step. This will take you to your certificate page.

Step 8:

On this page you'll design your certificate! Here you will put in your approvals, and any other necessary information, such as your CE Provider number.

At the top next to "Templates" you can click the drop down menu for more certificate designs. Click the Traditional template if you'd like to include custom verbiage on your certificate.

Step 9:

In the boxes at the bottom you can choose to show the students' license number, your provider logo, and your signature on the certificate. We recommend you check all 3 of these boxes.

Step 10:

Once you're done with your certificate, settings, and all of your course content and pages, click "Publish" at the top right of your page. This will release your course, so that licensees can find it in our platform and on your provider page.

Getting back to courses and their results

Step 1:

Your course is done!! But, let's say you want to change something. You can return to edit your course anytime by going back to your Dashboard, and clicking on "Courses" at the top of your page.

Step 2:

To check on the results of your course, click on the course and enter the editor, and select "Results" on the top.
